Nessa primeira parte de uma série de cartazes que celebram as capitais do Brasil, mergulhei na riqueza cultural e geográfica do país através do design gráfico. Inspirado pelo poster do Museo Mexicano de Jennifer Morla, busquei criar representações visuais que capturassem a essência de cada cidade, inspirando um senso de descoberta e apreciação.
In this first part of a series of posters celebrating the capitals of Brazil, I delved into the country's cultural and geographical richness through graphic design. Inspired by Jennifer Morla's poster for the Museo Mexicano, I sought to create visual representations that captured the essence of each city, inspiring a sense of discovery and appreciation.
Em Manaus, conhecida como "Porto de Lenha", as letras soltas sobrepostas foram inspiradas na tipografia utilizada nos nomes dos barcos da região, adicionando uma autenticidade visual marcante. No centro, destaca-se o majestoso Teatro Amazonas, ícone cultural da cidade, emoldurado por um boto cor-de-rosa e araras voando, representando a exuberante fauna amazônica. Ao fundo, a imensidão da floresta tropical complementa a composição. Na base, um recorte apresenta uma famosa calçada da cidade, conectando-a à sua identidade urbana e histórica.
In Manaus, known as the "Porto de Lenha," the overlaid loose letters were inspired by the typography found on the names of boats in the region, adding a striking visual authenticity. At the center, the majestic Teatro Amazonas, a cultural icon of the city, is framed by a pink river dolphin and flying macaws, representing the lush Amazonian fauna. In the background, the vastness of the tropical forest completes the composition. At the base, a cutout depicts a famous city sidewalk, connecting it to its urban and historical identity.
Recife, conhecida como a "Veneza Brasileira", é retratada neste cartaz com elementos que evocam sua rica tradição cultural. A tipografia foi inspirada na literatura de cordel, adicionando um toque artesanal e folclórico.
